Terms of use
The terms for using We The Freelancers — what we provide, and what we don't promise.
Draft for review. This page hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet. Treat it as a starting point, not legal advice.
What we provide
We The Freelancers lists freelance opportunities, grants, calls, guides and a toolkit for independent creative and editorial workers, and sends an occasional newsletter.
No guarantee of work
Using this site doesn't guarantee you work, interviews or income. We don't vet every organisation listed, and we aren't a party to any agreement you make with a client or organiser.
Listings come from third parties
Opportunities, grants and calls are gathered from external sources. We link to the original listing wherever possible — always confirm pay, deadlines and eligibility there before you apply.
Never pay to apply
We never charge a fee to view or apply for anything listed here, and you should treat any request to pay as a warning sign. See the scam-check in the Freelancer Toolkit for more.
The paid edition
A paid edition of the newsletter may be introduced in future. If it is, its price and terms will be published here and to subscribers before it opens — nothing will be charged without that happening first.
Acceptable use
Please don't misuse the site — for example, scraping it at scale, trying to access parts that aren't public, or using it to post or share anything illegal, fraudulent or abusive.
Liability
This site is provided as-is. [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME PLACEHOLDER] isn't liable for losses arising from your use of listings, guides or tools on this site, to the extent allowed by law.
